Ever fucked up your computer? Sure you have, everyone has.
If you haven't try something other than solitare and its bound
to happen.
Recently
I had somehow conned myself into thinking that I was mentally
capable of changing some serious issues with my computer.
Basically, long ago I had split my harddrive into 2 seperate
ones. On one, Windows would load and run or jog, and on the
other Linux was boss. After a few months I realised I had
no use for the Linux one and decided that space would be better
used in the Windows part. So I converged the two seperated
areas, into one!
However
after doing so, I quickly found that I couldn't get Windows
to load at all. Long story short, I had to reinstall Windows,
yadda yadda yadda. Then I noticed that when I tried to send
people files or move them on my own computer, it took an outrageously
long time to do. So I opened up my buddy Mr Defrag to see
what he thought.
(Blue
and White = GOOD, Red = BAD)

Thats
about as colorful as the 4th of july, and also not a very
good sign. For any person who kinda understands this you can
view the report here. *Note this
was after 1 defragment.
Basically,
my computer is so fucked up that the files are not together
or as one. On average, my computer has to go to nearly 3 different
locations to get one complete file. This slows down performance
quite a bit.
So,
lesson for today is, DO NOT MESS WITH YOUR COMPUTER. You may
think you know what your doing, but you really don't just
admit it. Also helps if you know someone who is like a nerd
guru at this sort of thing, you know, the guy that makes you
feel like you haven't learned anything since 1st grade. That
guy is your GO TO MAN for this sort of stuff.
